Tips: วิธีการ Boot Tethered Jailbroken iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad โดยการใช้ Redsn0w 0.9.6rc7 (Windows & Mac)

หลังจากที่ทาง Dev-Team ได้ปล่อย Redsn0w 0.9.6rc7 ออกมาสำหรับ Tether boot iOS 4.2.1 มาแล้วนั้น ต่อไปนี้จะเป็นขั้นตอนการทำ สำหรับ Mac และ Windows ครับ

สำหรับ Windows :
Step 1 Download Redsn0w 0.9.6rc7 for Windows ตามรุ่น และ Firmware มาให้ตรงนะครับ และทำการสร้างโฟลเดอร์ขึ้นมา ตั้งชื่อว่า “Pwnage”

Step 2 ทำการแตกไฟล์ redsn0w ที่ดาวน์โหลดมาครับ

Step 3 คลิก icon windows > พิมพ์ Run > พิมพ์ cmd หรือ คลิก icon windows แล้วพิมพ์ cmd ได้เลยครับ จะมี popup ขึ้นมา

Step 4 ให้พิมพ์

For devices with the new bootrom:

%homepath%DesktopPwnageredsn0w_win_0.9.6rc7redsn0w.exe -j -i %homepath%DesktopPwnageiPhone3,1_4.2.1_8C148_Restore.ipsw

For devices with the old bootrom (iPod 2G, iPhone 3GS):

%homepath%DesktopPwnageredsn0w_win_0.9.6rc7redsn0w.exe -j -o -i %homepath%DesktopPwnageiPhone2,1_4.2.1_8C148a_Restore.ipsw

* ตรงนี้สำคัญนะครับ ต้องเปลี่ยน folder ให้เป็น “Pwnage” และมีไฟล์ IPSW อยู่ใน folder ด้วย
Step 5 RedSn0w จะถูกเปิดขึ้นมา, ทำตามขั้นตอนไปจนถึง DFU mode แล้วก็ reboot เครื่องในสถานะ tether เท่านี้ก็เรียบร้อยแล้วครับ

สำหรับ Mac :
ขั้นตอนจะเหมือนกับ Windows ครับ
Step 1 Download Redsn0w 0.9.6rc7 for Mac ตามรุ่น และ Firmware มาให้ตรงนะครับ และทำการสร้างโฟลเดอร์ขึ้นมา ตั้งชื่อว่า “Pwnage” เช่นกัน

Step 2 แตกไฟล์ Redsn0w ที่ดาวน์โหลดมา
Step 3 เปิดโปรแกรม Terminal จาก Applications : Utilities folder
Step 4: พิมพ์คำสั่ง ดังนี้

For devices with the new bootrom

open ~/Desktop/Pwnage/redsn0w_mac_0.9.6rc7/redsn0w.app –args -j -i ~/Desktop/Pwnage/iPhone3,1_4.2.1_8C148_Restore.ipsw

For devices with the old bootrom (iPod 2G, iPhone 3GS):

open ~/Desktop/Pwnage/redsn0w_mac_0.9.6rc7/redsn0w.app –args -j -o -i ~/Desktop/Pwnage/iPhone2,1_4.2.1_8C148a_Restore.ipsw
